How To Maintain Healthy, Glowing Skin.

Not everyone is needing or seeking significant change when it comes to their skin. Some of us are lucky enough to not struggle with things like acne, compromised texture or discoloration.

So then what?

How do you best treat and maintain skin that doesn’t need a lot of correction or improvement?

Externally support, sustain and preserve the skin.

Thoroughly and methodically cleanse the skin

Double cleanse or use a toner in addition to your cleanser. Pay extra attention to what I refer to as the ‘edges’ of the face. The hairline, bridge of your nose, inner, upper lids, around and under the nostrils, the vermillion and the jawline.

Areas of the face that are often neglected, therefore commonly house quite a bit of buildup and sometimes congestion, are as follows,

brows and in-between brows, temples, upper lip and upper neck area, right below the jawline.

7–10-day treatment

Treat your skin every 7-10 days. This could be a mild physical or chemical exfoliation to get a tight, dewy appearance. Or, if your skin is feeling dry or inflamed, consider a soothing, hydrating facial mask.

Intermittent product use

Modify your skincare products, regimen and application often. Slight, frequent modifications look something like this:

  • Experiencing redness/dryness? Cutout all corrective products for a few days until the skin returns to a normal pH.

  • Breakout? Incorporate benzoyl peroxide as a spot treatment into your regimen for a few days.

  • Dull skin? Consider incorporating an AHA serum into the mix. Apply 3x a week, depending on your skin type.

Listen to your skin and have all the right products on hand.
