You May Have Rosacea and not even know it.

Do you experience a lot of redness in your skin that seems too always be there? You may have rosacea and not even know it.

I’ve had many clients over the years come in who’ve experienced long-term, persistent redness in their skin, never knowing that they have rosacea. There is no ‘cure’ for rosacea, however, oftentimes, it can be successfully treated and maintained with the proper products and accurate instruction, especially in mild to moderate cases. Less is more seems to be the best approach when treating rosacea.

Across the board, I would recommend all rosacea skin types have the following 3 staple products on hand to start–and why:

1. Gentle Cream Cleanser

This is an affordable cream cleanser, however, just about any cream cleanser will do. A gentle cream cleanser is recommended because it does not strip the skin.
Product Recommendation:
ACURE. Seriously Soothing Cleansing Cream.

2. Vitamin K Cream or Serum

Vitamin K is anti-inflammatory, especially when it comes to inflamed capillaries and blood vessels. This particular vitamin k cream also has a high concentration of arnica, which also reduces vascular inflammation.
Product Recommendation: Vitamedica Arnica+K Cream

3. SPF

Sunscreen is essential, as it assists in protecting the skin from potential inflammation caused by external factors.

In more acute cases of rosacea, there are topical prescription creams and washes that are highly effective when used on a continual basis, as rosacea will always need to be treated accordingly for the long term.

If you think you might have rosacea, I would consider visiting rosacea.org to become familiar with the symptoms and triggers.
